Introduction

Vehicle Control Technologies, Inc. was founded in 1993 by Douglas E. Humphreys and Kenneth W. Watkinson. The VCT team continues a commitment to excellence and service spanning more than 30 years - 20 years in the private industry and 10 in the Navy laboratory system. VCT provides engineering and analytical expertise in the allied fields of control, simulation and guidance of hydrodynamic and aerodynamic vehicles. VCT is a small business with ten employees, having started as a transition of personnel and technology from the ARAP group of Titan Research and Technologies.

VCT's highly skilled and motivated engineers have made major contributions to state-of-the-art technology in vehicle control and design, having designed or analyzed more than 220 vehicles, both aerodynamic and hydrodynamic. These contributions include a family of design, analysis and simulation tools for submarines, missiles, aircraft, torpedoes, towed vehicles, autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs). VCT's contributions are currently in use in government and industry research and development centers.
